ClauDING, 2017

Able to move freely and hovering past other works and in between of people it demanded attention for its hiddenness. The thin fabric depicting a brick-wall is protection and exposure at the same time.

The work was made of fabric, in-line skates and Claudine. It was operated in a way that it seemed to hover. The lack of the up-and-down of walking working towards the objectifying of the performer. Standing still in an art setting it can be mistaken for an inanimate object, not for long, however.

See it in action here.
