Kukačka‘s 9th edition put the title ‘This Is Not Art’ up for debate. I was wondering about the status of things in public space, how we understand property and who feels they own, care for or seizes property in a space supposed to belong to all. I released a sculpture into the city to be on its own. Somewhere between a hand holding an egg-shaped object and an auger for extracting material I called the sculpture ‘mine’. Referring to the possessive pronoun and the exploitation of land it is now moving about Ostrava, belonging to everyone and no one.
